Educational Qualification

Sub Editor:

An Honours degree from a recognized University
3 (Three) years experience as Sub-Editor or working Journalist in any media house of repute; or 3 (Three) years experience as a Mass Communication practitioner in the Public Relations Wing of Government, Semi-Government Organization or /and Corporate House or reputed Advertisement Agencies with experience of bringing out house journals and publicity materials in print media.
Knowledge, experience, and ability to prepare original manuscripts in English and Bengali and reproductions of illustrations.
Knowledge, experience, and ability to translate from English to Bengali
and vice versa.
Thorough knowledge and ability of proofreading in English and Bengali. (vi) Knowledge, experience, and ability to undertake and supervise computer-aided page designing.

Age Limit

The candidate’s upper age limit is 36 years s of 1st January 2021.

Sub Editor: Pay Level -12,Rs.35,800/- to Rs.92,100/-

Selection Process

Commission has fixed the following qualifying marks in the Interview and candidates unable to secure such qualifying marks would not be considered for the post, irrespective of their academic qualification and/ or marks obtained in P.S.T.
